In numerology the year 2025 carried the energetic imprint of Number 9 which represents a year of completions, endings, transformation, and spiritual awakenings. Number 9 is the single digit that remains when adding 2025. Since 9 represents the last number before a fresh new cycle (number 1), it therefore marks the peek or culmination of a 9-year cycle. It is for this reason that energetically it carries a potent energy for releasing the past and preparing us all for a new beginning.
Sometimes such closures come to our lives as we intention them and other times these changes appear to happen unexpectedly. If we reflect on each of our lives we will come to see how powerful this energy has been for 2025. Many people have ended long-term jobs, careers, relationships, ways of perceiving ourselves and therefore, life. Many of us have come to see the old patterns that had not been looked at or addressed before. Since the light has now began to look at the shadow we have begun the internal alchemy that is necessary for new potentials ahead.
In whatever way this culmination has played out for each of us, may we remember to connect with moments of stillness where the whisper of the truth can be felt. We know that as much as we may attempt to control or manage life, the nature/cycle of life IS change. The question here may be if we flow or resist! It is this that will greatly influence how this coming New Year 2026 will be lived.
As we enter the New Year 2026 the collective energy will now be that of Number 1 which represents new beginnings, the start of a new 9-year cycle and with that, a personal rebirth. This rebirth can come in many ways but whatever way it may orchestrate for us one thing we can count on is that its manifestation will come from our true creative nature. We can only live and therefore flow and create from an authentic place when we are connected with this true nature- the I AM presence. It is that which is ever present, ever loving, our only true secure place; it is home. When we flow in such way we are naturally moved to share our gifts and talents with others and this is what uplifts us all collectively.
This New Year 2026 comes with many powerful astrological shifts. It is as if the cosmos knows what is needed for us personally and collectively, so can we get out of the way? Pluto the planet of death, decay, transformation entered Aquarius recently in 2024 after being in Capricorn since 2008!! Capricorn represents the different structures in our lives, traditional ways of living and relating, personal values. With Pluto finishing off its visit in Capricorn we can reflect on how these themes have been restructuring and even “dying” in our personal lives.
Now with Pluto being out of Capricorn and into the rebellious zodiac sign of Aquarius we intuitively know where our path is headed. A new door has opened, one where the energy of Aquarius invites us to live and express our uniqueness as strange or as different as it may be considered by others. Often referred to as “The Truth Sayer”, Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, the only planet in the solar system that rolls instead of spin!
This explains the beautiful nature of Aquarius and how sometimes going against the grain is what is needed for paradigm shifts and breakthroughs to happen. We as humans have been conditioned by family, beliefs, expectations, society, etc. but does living in such way resonate with us? Aquarius also connects with humanity, community, coming together as a tribe/family with our own unique gifts and talents. We have endless possibilities when uniting because after all we really are One.
We will also have a major shift with the planet Saturn and Neptune. Both of these celestial energies will move into courageous Aries after being in mystical Pisces. Saturn was in Pisces for approximately 2.5 years and Neptune was in Pisces for 14 years. For all these years we have prepared internally (Pisces) for what is to be now expressed in the fiery nature of Aries. Having had both Saturn and Neptune in Pisces we also had the opportunity to dive into our spiritual practices, connect with Source, forgive/heal, ego dissolution, and ultimately realize the Oneness in all.
Whatever we have learned in our personal journey is now ready to be expressed in a more action based energy. Aries is all about fresh starts, courage, re-igniting the spark within, and sharing our inner world with others. Finally, Uranus entering the communicative energy of Gemini will guide us to express this with openness and clarity.
As we can see 2026 is a gift filled with bright opportunities and renewed energy. May we each be receptive enough to receive what is unfolding for us and be aware of the possibilities hidden in the potential challenges that may come along the way.
